Automotive Technician (General Service, C, B & A Levels

This is an onsite position located in our Indian Land Car Care Facility.

Service center hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m., and Saturday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Schedule and shift assignments will depend on the technician position and level.

ACG Car Care Technicians complete routine scheduled maintenance service on automobiles and trucks, as directed by a manager or Service Advisor. They spend their day performing basic automotive repair,adjustment sand maintenance procedures, including, but not limitedto;oil changes, tire replacement &repair sand general vehicle maintenance.

General Service Tech:

• Drive vehicles into service bays, prepare them for,and complete digital vehicle inspection

• Performs general automotive maintenance and repairs

• Test drive vehicles and preparevehiclesfor delivery to customers, after necessary repairs and maintenance are complete

• Keep the shop clean and organized to ensure a positive member/customer experience

• Learn from Technician A, B,and C colleagues to further advance your career

Technician C:

• All General Service Tech opportunities plus:

• Perform automotive repairs, adjustments and maintenance procedures as outlined on repair orders

• Complete fluid exchanges, alignments,brake services,basic repair,and maintenance services, etc.

Technician B:

• All Tech Copportunities plus:

• Work with, mentor,and train less experienced Technicians

• Performs all Service Technician C duties plus advanced repair and maintenance services.

Technician A:

• AllTechB opportunities plus:

• Work with, mentor,and train less experienced Technicians

• Complete electrical repairs, diagnostic repairs, drivability diagnostics, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

All Service Techs

• Have a High School diploma, GED,ortechnicalschool certification

• Possessavalid driver’s license

• Have mechanical aptitude

• Are knowledgeable about automotive and/or truck systems, tools,and technical resources,andcanindependently perform a variety of basic repairs and maintenance of automobile and truck vehicles

• Understand and consistentlydemonstratethe proper use of equipment and tools used in such repair and maintenance, and the need tomaintaina clean, safe,and organized work area.

• Can consistently provide exceptional customer service and improve customer service scores

Preferred Qualifications(General Service Tech ):__

• G1-Auto Maintenance & Light Repair preferred

• State inspection certificate where applicable

• AC 609 Certification

Minimum Qualifications (Technician

C):__

• All General Service Tech requirements plus:

• Minimum of 6 months relevant experience in automotive repair or completion of formal automotive training program.

Preferred Qualifications (Technician

C):__

• All General Service Tech preferred qualifications plus:

• ASE Certifications (or their equivalent).A4-Suspension & Steering, A5-Brakes

• AC 609 Certification

Minimum Qualifications (TechnicianB):__

• All CTech requirements plus:

• 3 years or more of experience repairing vehicles at a dealership or automotive center

Preferred Qualifications (Technician

C):

• AllCTech preferred qualifications plus:

• Two other ASEcertifications(or their equivalent)

• AC 609 Certification

Minimum Qualifications (TechnicianA):__

• All B Tech requirements plus:

• 5 years or more of experience repairing vehicles at a dealership or automotive center

Preferred Qualifications(TechnicianA):

• All B Tech preferred requirements plus:

• ASE Certifications (A1 – A8) with Master Technician designation or the equivalent combination of technician certifications and ASE certifications.

• ASE certification L1-Advanced Engine Performance Specialist

• AC 609 Certification

• May experience loud noises and odors intermittently in the shop environment.

• This position involves standing, walking,and normal physical mobility, including reaching, grabbing,lifting,and carrying automotive parts and equipment (averaging up to approximately 80 pounds in weight)

• Must haveowntoolsappropriate fortheir skill level for use in the center.
