As a Commodity Buyer, you will play a key role in shaping our supplier strategy and driving cost, quality, and delivery excellence across your assigned commodities. You will lead sourcing decisions, develop market‑aligned purchasing strategies, and ensure strong supplier performance in a fast‑paced, global industrial environment.

- Lead the purchasing strategy for your commodity scope, identifying market opportunities (economic, technological, geographical) and managing your supplier panel.
- Drive cost‑reduction programs and deliver productivity improvements across your supply base.
- Own the full sourcing cycle according to plant and project needs, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery targets are met while respecting all ethical and compliance rules.
- Manage the full “order‑to‑pay” process: validate spending rules, create purchase orders/contracts, ensure proper application of terms, and guarantee on‑time supplier payments.
- Act as the escalation point for supplier‑related crises and lead resolution when needed.
- Ensure sourcing in compliance with targets
, proactive risk management, and right‑first‑time invoicing.
- Develop and propose the commodity strategy; manage your supply base accordingly.
- Conduct market intelligence (benchmarking, supplier fairs, trends, innovations).
- Lead supplier negotiations and align with internal stakeholders to secure best‑in‑class conditions.
- Manage contractual agreements with suppliers.
- Monitor and report supplier performance (Q/C/T and service).
- Promote and validate technical savings proposed by suppliers.
- Participate in or lead internal workshops for cost savings or problem‑solving.
- Manage risks within your commodity (supplier financial health, dependence, M&A activity).
- Manage your portfolio in line with approved budget.
- Ensure full compliance with legal, company, and environmental regulations.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastic Engineering
, or Business with a specialization in Purchasing.
- Strong knowledge of purchasing processes and commodity strategy management
- Solid understanding of industrial markets
- Knowledge of commercial and corporate law

- Finance & cash flow awareness
- Supply chain & logistics concepts (consignment, VMI, Incoterms)
