Program Summary
K Metrology supports Honeywell Aerospace, Otto Instruments, Garrett Advance Motion, and their suppliers with services including onsite/offsite laboratory visits, test equipment calibration and repair, AMS
2750 pyrometry services, metrology engineering, equipment inspection, preventative maintenance, equipment sourcing, CMM inspections, automation and programming, measurement technical support, calibration recall system management, and performance tracking dashboards.
K is seeking a Metrology Operations Supervisor to lead and manage all aspects of our Metrology business. This role is responsible for coordinating operational activities, driving process improvements, and ensuring quality standards are met.
Roles and Responsibilities- Lead execution and coordination of Metrology operations.
- Manage work groups and units performing routine operational tasks.
- Develop unit objectives, work plans, and schedules; allocate resources accordingly.
- Perform administrative functions including budgeting and cost/benefit analysis.
- Supervise staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to quality, time, and budget standards.
- Provide guidance on operational projects and tasks.
- Drive resource development and continuous process improvement.
- Evaluate and implement changes in work procedures.
- Recruit, hire, and onboard new team members.
- Conduct performance evaluations, recommend promotions, and resolve employee issues.
- Facilitate team meetings and enhance internal communications.
- Develop operational improvement plans and support company initiatives.
- Make decisions impacting day-to-day operational success.
- Maintain frequent customer interaction to address operational concerns.
- Apply broad operational planning principles and concepts.
- Support business development efforts across commercial and government sectors.
- Participate in larger business development initiatives.
- U.S. Citizenship required due to client requirements.
- Undergraduate degree or applicable technical training and certifications with 3+ years of experience specific to operational needs, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to coach, develop, and motivate staff.
- Strong team‑building and facilitation capabilities.
- Excellent customer service and communication/presentation skills.
- Experience in Metrology with increasing levels of responsibility.
- TMDE/PMEL training or equivalent highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of ISO
17025 calibration environments. - Proficiency in applying standard theories, principles, and techniques in Metrology.
- Familiarity with advanced technical specialties in assigned areas.
