Position: INTERNAL POSTING - Administrative Coordinator II

Job Responsibilities

This employee will be be tasked with training all new hires, both permanent and hourly, in all functions of the Licensing and Watercraft Services (LWS) section by developing and using the Boat/Motor Titling, Registration and Licensing Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) statewide.

  • Training all new and existing employees statewide.
  • Traveling to in-state regional offices to deliver hands-on training and ensuring consistent application of procedures.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for educating, assessing, and evaluating staff performance under the SOP, while also coordinating daily workflow management in collaboration with office supervisors.
  • Ensuring all staff are fully cross-trained in every function of the LWS Office.
  • Compiling, maintaining, and updating the SOP for LWS.
  • Ensuring all SOP content remains accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with current laws, regulations, and agency policies.
  • Ensuring SOP is structured effectively for training purposes and serves as a reliable resource for staff development, process consistency and operational compliance.
  • Coordinating between LWS supervisors and the Quality Assurance Quality Control (QAQC) of the IT section to help develop strategies and training materials to address deficiencies in LWS processes and employee performance.
  • Helping to develop, track and evaluate key performance measures in order to assess operations and staff and increase efficiencies where possible.
  • Serving as a backup to others on the supervisory team in managing the daily boating and licensing workflow.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

A bachelor's degree and four (4) years of business management experience; or an associate degree and six (6) years of business management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Extensive, hands-on knowledge of boat and motor titling, registration, and recreational and commercial licensing laws and regulations. Strong training abilities, including developing instructional materials, delivering effective training sessions, and providing ongoing guidance to staff to ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Proficient in the use of MS Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to learn new systems and procedures quickly, make sound judgment calls, communicate effectively with the public and coworkers, and maintain positive and productive working relationships.
