• Assistant First Steps Teacher – minimum of ECD 101
• Lead First Steps Teacher

Starting at $17 per hour. Candidates with advanced education and experience may qualify for higher pay. Regular increases are considered with additional education, stellar performance, and years of service.

• Ensure a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
• Create an engaging classroom where children can learn, play and grow
• Support children’s social and emotional development
• Foster a love of learning through Creative Curriculum and Brain Connect programs
• Build strong partnerships with families through daily app updates and personal discussions
• Implement the SC state First Steps 4K curriculum to prepare children for kindergarten
• Foster relationships with children and provide a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
• Document and share with families the important milestones in a child’s day using our app
• Welcome families and engage them in conversation about their child’s education and development
• Have fun and work as part of a supportive team!

• Passion for working with young children
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to pass background checks & health assessments
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. for child safety and emergencies
• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field required. An Associate’s Degree is acceptable if enrolled or working towards a Bachelor’s.
• At least 6 months of experience at a licensed childcare center preferred
