Overview
Rogers Group – Greer, South Carolina is seeking an Experienced Asphalt Operator to work with road construction and highway paving crews in the Upstate SC area. The successful candidate will have familiarity and experience working in road building and operating a paver and will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
Job Details: Full-Time | Greer, SC | Wages starting at $21/hr +/- based on experience.
Job Duties- Running various pieces of equipment as needed – such as a bobcat, skid steer, haul truck, dozer and track hoe.
- Being trained in various production positions and filling in as needed during vacations, absences, and increased production demand times.
- Running a truck to control dust on roadways.
- Reporting equipment problems to management; helping maintain quarry and equipment.
- Completing daily inspections and equipment pre‑shift reports (if applicable).
- Assisting other workers as needed or directed and performing other duties assigned by management.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- General mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to maintain safe working conditions.
- Self‑starter; ability to work without close supervision.
- Performing daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
- Previous experience working in a mining environment preferred.
- Must pass pre‑employment drug screening.
- Overtime required as needed and may include Saturdays.
