Position Overview: The Director of Communications plans, coordinates, designs, and implements the overall external and internal marketing and communications efforts of Covenant through print and electronic media. The position aims to ensure high-quality, impactful communications that effectively convey messages to the intended audience, reflect church priorities, and support the sharing of the Gospel.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Maintain consistent Covenant branding and logos across church advertising/marketing in digital and print media.Create and maintain graphics and logos for ministries, events, sermon series, and daily communications, used in print materials (brochures, inserts, posters, flyers, etc.) and digital media (website, social media, church app, screens, etc.).Design and produce bulletins, inserts, memorial service programs, and special event programs.Handle photography and video production related to all ministry areas, including some Sundays and weekends.Write copy for all print materials, utilizing information from ministry areas.Design and produce the "In His Steps" book and commitment cards, overseeing layout, graphics, content, and publishing.Manage outdoor signage for community event communication.Establish communication guidelines and ensure all ministries adhere to them, supporting Covenant's mission and branding.Serve as webmaster and manage social media, QR codes, event registration links, Link Tree, and church app.Develop and lead a communications team to enhance church communication efforts.Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor and Executive Pastor, collaborating with staff and leaders to effectively communicate their objectives.Education and Experience: A strong spiritual background and commitment to the church are essential. A minimum of three years' experience in print media, web design, and graphic design, along with a bachelor’s degree in communication, graphic design, or a related field. Proven leadership, judgment, integrity, confidentiality, and proficiency in technologies such as Word Press, Adobe Creative Suite (or similar), Vimeo (or similar), and Microsoft Office are required.
Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
