Public Information Coordinator

The purpose of the Public Information Coordinator I is to plan, prepare, edit, and disseminate informational, educational, or marketing material on behalf of the agency through visual/digital media communications.

• Plan, coordinate, and promote agency programs and activities through traditional and visual/digital media communications.
• Take photos, shoot videos and/or design graphics for agency communications activities and divisions.
• Assist with writing and editing social media captions, closed captions, and other communications for various formats and mediums.
• Assist with the creation of social media content calendars and social media content, as well as scheduling social media postings.
• Assist with the creation of shot sheets, storyboards, print layouts and concepts for graphics branding packages consistent with agency brand standards and in line with the communications strategy.
• Conduct interviews, research topics, and gather information for use in various agency communications.

A high school diploma or equivalent.

• May require some overnight travel and work beyond 37.5hour/week and could include nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

An associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public relations, journalism, journalism and mass communications, public relations, visual arts, or related field of study with two years of work experience.
