Job Responsibilities
Piedmont Technical College is accepting applications to build an active pool of qualified candidates for Adjunct Faculty (temporary, part‑time) positions. Adjunct instructors may teach at the Lex
D. Walters Campus and/or at one of the college’s six county centers located in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick. Opportunities may include daytime or evening classes, online instruction, and dual credit courses offered at local high schools. Applications will be reviewed on an as‑needed basis as teaching opportunities become available.
- Provide didactic (lecture), laboratory, and/or clinical instruction in assigned courses.
- Evaluate student knowledge and clinical competencies through written, practical, and clinical assessments.
- Maintain accurate student records and grading.
- Support curriculum quality and program goals through continuous assessment and improvement.
- Model professional, ethical, and safe clinical practice in both classroom and clinical settings.
Adjunct faculty are expected to serve as professional team members who support the mission and vision of the college while performing their duties with the highest level of quality and service.
Minimum and Additional Requirements- An associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology or a related healthcare field is required.
- Candidates must possess a current RCIS credential, current BLS certification, and strong communication and organizational skills.
- One (1) year of recent invasive cardiovascular clinical experience is preferred.
- Current ACLS certification is also preferred.
