Valid SC Teaching License (any applicable area)

GENERAL SUMMARYUnder general supervision of the Director of Career and Technical Education shall ensure the coordination, accountability, and delivery of instruction around state standards and professional practices to CTE (Career and Technology Education) teachers for technical subjects; serves as a support for student success, and coordinators understanding and promotion of CTE to all stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Supports and upholds the mission, vision and strategic goals of Lexington County School District One towards increased outcomes for students.
- Interacts, communicates and collaborates with all stakeholders effectively.
- Establishes a safe, supportive, positive and productive working and learning environment.
- Operates general office and technology equipment needed for daily activities.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding all employee and student information.
- Participates in all professional meetings and training sessions as required.
- Requests and maintains materials needed for daily responsibilities and essential functions; provides for safe storage and proper use of all tools, equipment and materials.
- Coordinates efforts with administration and counselors to recruit students to CTE pathways and retain students within those pathways in order to complete program areas.
- Oversees CTE marketing and communications strategies and tactics that will effectively publicize information and events relevant to industry, education, community and other stakeholder groups, including preparing and executing materials.
- Assists in the development of organizational materials, including print, website and social media presence consistent with CTE/LTC brand and identity.
- In collaboration with the CTE Director, represents CTE programs district-wide, connecting school-based staff, central office personnel, and home schools to the community and industry partners (parents, external partners, etc.).
- Designs and delivers presentations to schools, agencies, organizations, and business and industry partners to promote LTC courses and district-wide CTE.
- Collaborates and supports outreach efforts on behalf of the District's various CTE program initiatives and instructional departments.
- Develops and implements strategies for CTE marketing and student recruiting, leveraging central services resources and working with school-based staff as needed.
- Works with CTE teachers and administrative staff to develop CTE lessons, assessment or other activities that support student engagement and achievement.
- Assist with monitoring appropriate responses for students who need additional support (MTSS, MLP, IEP/504 accommodations, other academic support structures) in CTE and appropriate core content coursework.
