Operations Manager
MAU is hiring a Logistics Planning Specialist for our client in Spartanburg, SC. Our client, a premier automotive company, is located in the upstate area of SC. This is a long-term renewable contract opportunity. As a Logistics Planning Specialist, you will plan and optimize logistics structures within the plant and warehouse environments.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Logistics or Supply Chain Planning
— OR —
- 4 years of equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment
- 1+ years of related experience in at least two of the following:
- Material control
- Warehouse/plant operations
- Warehouse/plant layout
- At least 1 year of supervisory or project leadership experience
Education and Experience
- MTM-1, MTM-UAS, Standard Data, or related certifications
- Experience with time study methods (REFA, MTM, or standard data systems)
- Experience with Logistics Planning Platform (LPP)
- Intermediate proficiency in:
- Team collaboration
- MS Office applications (Visio preferred)
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical thinking and judgment
- Strategic planning, change management, and results-based reporting
- Project formulation, implementation oversight, monitoring, and evaluation
- Fluent in English (written and spoken);
German preferred - Basic understanding of time study methods
- Manage strategic planning and reporting activities
- Perform layout planning for warehouses, logistics elements, and future plant expansions
- Conduct logistics process planning, Long-Term Investment Planning (LIP), and Long-Term Enterprise Planning (LUP) space analysis
- Lead logistics projects independently
- Investigate, improve, and stabilize logistics processes to support company goals
- Calculate Days of Supply simulations and recommend logistics structure adjustments based on supplier locations
- Verify and analyze structural data, including trailer and product movement
- Analyze inventory storage costs
- Drive warehouse strategy process improvements and develop planning methodologies
- Collaborate with Facilities & Energy teams for 2D layout and 3D structure design of logistics areas
- Perform financial analysis of logistics vendor contracts and consult on structural/layout matters
- Support and update logistics planning tools (LPP), including time analyses using MTM or time study data
- Perform other duties as assigned by operations supervisor
- 90% on-site at facility in Spartanburg, SC
- 10% travel or training
- Frequently works in both office and manufacturing environments
- Occasionally exposed to loud noise
- Frequently works shifts or variable work hours
- Occasionally wears protective clothing or gear
- Constantly operates computers or other equipment
- Frequently sits or stands for prolonged periods
