Position: Material Engineer – Polymers / Plastics

Key Responsibilities:
  • BS/MS in Materials, Polymer, Plastics Engineering, or related field
  • 2–3 years of experience with polymer materials in an industrial or automotive setting
  • Hands‑on experience in material testing and validation (polymers, resins, paint, and adhesive compatibility)
  • Strong understanding of plastic materials, polymer formulations, and material behavior
  • Fluent in English with a keen interest in automotive and industrial applications
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support material experts in selecting and qualifying raw materials for automotive projects
  • Execute and monitor validation tests to ensure compliance with customer requirements
  • Analyze material performance and identify risks or non‑conformities
  • Assist in resin supplier qualification and replacement activities
  • Contribute to validation strategies and risk mitigation plans
  • Recommend technical solutions for material, paint, or adhesive‑related challenges
  • Collaborate with suppliers, purchasing teams, and customers during material qualification
  • Provide production support for raw material issues during serial production
  • Propose alternative materials to enhance quality and optimize costs
  • Document test outcomes, validation efforts, and technical recommendations
Profile:
  • Material Engineer specializing in polymers/plastics with 2–3 years of experience
  • Proactive, execution‑focused, and solution‑oriented
  • Strong communicator with the ability to engage and challenge suppliers
  • Open to relocation with a growth‑driven mindset
Must Have:
  • 2–3 years of real‑time hands‑on experience in polymer/plastic materials
  • Proven expertise in material testing and validation
  • Solid knowledge of polymer formulation and testing methods
  • Ability to evaluate material behavior and recommend improvements
  • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
  • Fluent English and willingness to relocate
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 suppliers
  • Background in resin supplier qualification or replacement
  • Exposure to production support or serial life challenges
  • Understanding of paint and adhesive compatibility
  • Participation in cost reduction or productivity initiatives
  • Experience working in global or multicultural environments
  • Potential to grow into a subject matter expert role
