Work with Sales and Engineering to specify and quote injection molds that meet internal and external customer expectations, provide machine requirements and estimated cycle times for quoting purposes.

• Specify general tool designs, components and controls for new molds. Conduct mold run-offs at vendors to verify quality, function and performance to specifications. Responsible for approving mold designs prior to start of mold builds.
• Support Account Managers and Program Managers in technical subject-matter execution.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management or Mechanical Engineering (or foreign equivalent) plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a managerial position in the plastics industry.
• Interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, defining specifications for molding systems for high-volume parts.
• Coordinating First Article Testing of injection molds and systems, and estimating costs for piece part prices to reduce manufacturing/operating costs.
• Experience with tooling and manufacturing engineering is also required.
• 20% domestic and international travel required.
