About the Role
Salary range: $86,000 - $126,000 per year. This is a general guideline only; actual compensation depends on skills, experience, qualifications, and market factors.
The Senior Manufacturing Information (MI) Systems Engineer maintains product line engineering and manufacturing systems, recommending and implementing corrective actions to drive quality improvement. Responsibilities include defining requirements, acceptance testing, scheduling training, documenting plant processes, and providing first‑level support. The role requires knowledge of configuration requirements and associated systems:
Bid Manager, MI Manager, Design Automation, DCMS, POM, ENOVIA, MAPICS, AutoCAD and other site‑specific tools.
Relocation assistance is offered for qualified candidates to approved work locations:
Greenwood, SC or Omaha, NE.
- Deploy and support Front End Engineering systems for the assigned product line.
- Develop product line‑specific training documentation for use of engineering software tools and processes.
- Manage MI System issue tickets as an individual contributor and coordinate with Eaton resources.
- Lead maintenance and improvement of systems (Bid Manager, MI Manager, POM, etc.) to meet stakeholder needs—including product line personnel, plant personnel, PMO, and NAS.
- Act as focal point for manufacturing plants to address issues related to front‑end operating systems and related practices.
- Gather requests for system enhancements and communicate to the appropriate development manager.
- Provide after‑hours and weekend support as required.
- Participate in product line meetings on Front End Systems projects and continuous improvement activities, driving best practices and knowledge sharing across teams (engineering, design, systems).
- Maintain Front End Systems turn‑back/enhancement database (SharePoint tickets) and related change‑management processes, coordinating priorities with stakeholders and team members.
- Support defect resolution for Service Now (SNOW) tickets through error recreation, documentation, and interactions with product line engineering teams, system developers, and IT developers.
Required (Basic)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Information Technology from an accredited institution.
- Three (3) years of experience with engineered‑to‑order (ETO) products and associated configuration tools.
- Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship now and in the future.
- Travel up to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Eaton’s ETO software tools such as Bid Manager, MI Manager, Design Automation, DCMS, Plant Order Manager, Pick Work Bench, etc.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Eaton’s ETO software systems and AutoCAD.
- Experience applying object‑oriented programming languages such as
- Database management and development.
