About the Role
In this position, the Mechanical Validation Engineer will contribute to both the Mechanical Platform level hardware validation of Sanmina‑ZT server platforms. The engineer will work with cross‑functional teams to aid in developing and executing test plans that verify product hardware functionality, adherence to mechanical specifications, and product requirements. The engineer will aid in debugging, identify root causes, and resolve issues as they occur.
WhatYou Will Do
- Interface with architecture, design, platform, firmware, and system engineering processes
- Aid in test specifications, requirements, strategies, and methodologies
- Efficiently execute test plans to meet time‑to‑market requirements
- Understand how systems work and identify defects and issues
- Confidently describe test procedures and issues to internal and external stakeholders
- Track and assist in documenting and summarizing test results and collaborate on automation efforts for validation
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, System Engineering, or an equivalent field
- 0–2+ years of experience in systems with a mechanically focused test or validation setting
- Ability to script for testing and debugging purposes
- Ability to provide clear report findings
