Job Responsibilities
Assists in all construction inspection activities and helps produce required reports relating to those inspections in a timely manner. Assists in inspection of non-certification fields such as permanent pavement markings, guardrail, clearing and grubbing, wage regulation interviews, Stage Type inspections, etc., and produces the required reports relating to those inspections in a timely manner. Assists with construction verification surveys, preconstruction layout, collection of samples, collection of certifications, and other data collection relating to construction inspection activities.
Maintains inspection and testing equipment, as well as completes daily time sheets and monthly mileage reports. Performs other related duties as assigned.
A high school diploma; or an approved acceptable equivalence.
The physical demands for the essential functions involve frequent bending, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to 50 lbs. Walking for extended periods, treading rough terrain, working in close proximity to motoring traffic, and in natural environmental hazards. May require occasional exposure to noise. May require working outside of normal work schedules and weekends.
