Civil Engineering Technology Program Coordinator; Academic Program Director

Job Overview

Trident Technical College is seeking a Civil Engineering Technology Program Coordinator. The role involves teaching courses, designing and developing curriculum, preparing and updating program course syllabi, evaluating student performance, advising students, developing industry relationships, scheduling class and lab times, and instructing day and/or evening courses.

• Teach courses in civil engineering technology and civil engineering transfer curriculum.
• Design and develop curriculum.
• Prepare and update program course syllabi.
• Evaluate student performance and advise students.
• Develop and foster relationships with local industry.
• Schedule class and lab times effectively.
• Instruct surveying, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D CAD as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• Minimum of two years of related work experience.
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering, or master's with 18 graduate hours of Architecture or Construction Management coursework.
• Teaching experience desirable.
• Ability to instruct surveying required; ability to instruct AutoCAD and Civil 3D CAD preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology.

Salary commensurate with education and experience, with a starting salary of $80,000 for 12 months.
