Job Details
As a Fire Sprinkler Designer on our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing Fire Sprinkler System layouts for a variety of Commercial projects while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with HydraCAD, AutoCAD, Hydraulic Calculations, and NFPA requirements. NICET Certification is highly preferred. MUST HAVE: 3+ years of Fire Sprinkler Design experience Experience designing Commercial Fire Sprinkler Systems Proficiency with HydraCAD and/or AutoCAD Experience performing Hydraulic Calculations and creating Fire Sprinkler layouts Strong knowledge of NFPA 13, local codes, and Fire Protection standards Ability to interpret Architectural Drawings, specifications, and Construction Documents Experience preparing Shop Drawings and Design Submittal packages Ability to coordinate with Engineers, Contractors, AHJs, and internal Project teams NICET Certification in Water-Based Systems Layout preferred NICE TO HAVE: NICET Level II, III, or IV Certification Experience with HydraCALC, Hydra LIST, or similar Fire Protection Design software Experience with Industrial, Warehouse, Manufacturing, or High-Hazard projects Knowledge of Fire Pumps, Underground Fire Mains, and Special Hazard Systems Familiarity with BIM Coordination or Revit Previous experience working for a Fire Sprinkler Contractor
