Safety Specialist

Job Description Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented EHS Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will support our site’s commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with operations teams to foster a proactive safety culture, manage EHS data, and support the implementation of GE Vernova’s Life Saving Rules.

• Compliance Support:
  Assist in ensuring site operations meet all federal, state, and local EHS regulations and internal GE Vernova management system requirements.
• Safety Culture:
  Collaborate with Operations and Facilities teams to implement programs that drive a proactive, "safety-first" mindset across the site.
• Incident Investigation:
  Lead cross functional EHS incident reviews to analyze EHS events, identify root causes, and develop effective, long-term solutions.
• Data & Systems:
  Manage and maintain accurate EHS records within the Gensuite platform.
• Project Support:
  Assist the EHS Team in executing site-wide EHS initiatives and integrating new technology to enhance current safety systems.
• Life Saving Rules:
  Support the operationalization of GE Vernova’s Life Saving Rules to continue communication, education, and implementation of these rules.
• Continuous Improvement:
  Use analytical thinking to propose and implement solutions that address challenges within our manufacturing processes.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in an EHS-related field.

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety (or a related engineering/science field).
• Experience in documenting, planning, and executing safety programs.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and market safety initiatives to all levels of the organization.
• Capacity to support employee growth through performance-oriented coaching and feedback.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data and resolve operational problems.

Relocation Assistance Provided:
No For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $77,900.00 and $. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
