Accounting Manager​/Supervisor

Description We are looking for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor based in Greer, South Carolina, who possesses a strong blend of accounting expertise and financial analytical skills. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is adept at managing financial operations while providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance, maintaining accurate records, and driving financial performance.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and actively participate in the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all accounting entries.

- Perform detailed reconciliations of general ledger accounts, promptly identifying and resolving discrepancies.

- Prepare and submit multi-state sales and use tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

- Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explaining accounting procedures.

- Collaborate on inventory control measures, including physical and cycle counts, to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

- Apply cost accounting methodologies to evaluate production costs and profitability, delivering insights to enhance decision-making.

- Assist in preparing comprehensive financial statements, including profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.

- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities by analyzing financial trends and variances.

- Conduct financial data analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving measures.

- Provide ad hoc financial reports and analysis to support management in strategic planning. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis roles.

- Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and general ledger reconciliations.

- Strong knowledge of preparing and filing multi-state tax returns.

- Experience supporting audit processes, including documentation and compliance.

- Familiarity with inventory control and cost accounting practices.

- Ability to prepare detailed financial statements and supporting schedules.

- Solid analytical skills for budgeting, forecasting, and identifying financial trends.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software tools.
