Part Time Cosmetology Instructor

Position Responsibilities

• Supervise students in one of four cosmetology labs as they perform services on mannequins and the public, including hair, skin, and nail treatments.
• Instruct and reinforce proper sanitation, disinfection, and safety procedures, including the safe use of electrical equipment required for cosmetology services.
• Provide individual guidance and tutoring to students who need additional skill development.
• Assist with required data entry for the South Carolina Board of Cosmetology, including tracking students' daily clock hours.
• Support classroom instruction and assist with test proctoring as needed.
• Demonstrate professionalism, leadership, and positive role modeling at all times.

• Valid South Carolina Cosmetology Instructor License
• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficiency in all areas of cosmetology, including hair, skin, and nail services
• Working knowledge of South Carolina Board of Cosmetology rules and regulations
• Minimum of two (2) years of full-time salon experience

• Scrubs in any color except black
• Closed-toe, closed-heel shoes required
• Athletic shoes are recommended for comfort and safety
