Slitter Operator - Greer, South Carolina - 1st Shift (8am - 4pm)

Division/Department: Slit Rewind

Reports to: Production Supervisor

FULLTIME

NON-EXEMPT

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be able to operate and set up 2 slitters within the Slitting department.
• Entering production data into Radius operating system
• General and light maintenance.
• Focus on safety at all times.
• Recognize problems and make sound judgements relating to the problem.
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Utilize basic math skills in calculation.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Mechanically inclined for general machine adjustments.
• Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions.
• Desire to produce high quality work.
• Be able to work in a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to stand, bend and twist.
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
