Maintenance Technician – Injection & Blow Molding
HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Technician – Injection & Blow Molding in the plastics industry in Greer, SC!
Salary: $32–$40/hr
Shift: 3rd Shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Location:
On-site – Greer, SC
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on injection molding and blow molding machines
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to minimize equipment downtime
- Support equipment reliability and process improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and efficiency
- Assist with equipment startup, shutdown, and changeover procedures per company and machine requirements
- Develop and document maintenance procedures to optimize equipment performance
- Perform maintenance on auxiliary equipment including conveyors, dryers, and chiller systems
- Support mold changes, mold cleaning, and routine machine maintenance activities
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and documentation throughout the shift
- Assist with cross-training technicians on routine maintenance tasks
Education Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Technical school or vocational training in injection molding, blow molding, or industrial maintenance preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience maintaining injection molding and blow molding equipment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven experience with blow molding equipment repair and maintenance
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Working knowledge of hydraulic systems and basic machine shop practices
- Experience with machine installation, maintenance, and repair
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Ability to operate material handling equipment and obtain forklift certification within 60 days
- Understanding of OSHA safety regulations and Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required
