Job Title: Inspector Packer II/ BUL
Salary Status: DOE

Reports to: Supervisor / Manager
Job OverviewThe Inspector Packer II/BUL will be responsible for pulling plastic items (preforms) from a box and placing them on the conveyor and/or pulling product such as bottles and jars from a conveyor belt, inspecting them per QC specifications, packaging them per packaging specifications, and assisting in some responsibilities as a material handler.
Essential Responsibilities- Remove plastic (preforms) from a box, inspect them per quality specifications and place them on a conveyor per work instructions.
- Remove plastic bottles/jars from conveyor belt and inspect them per quality specifications.
- Perform all Inspector Packer I and Inspector Packer II duties.
- Follow all safety policies and GMP policies & guidelines.
- Pack plastic bottles/jars per packaging specifications posted at the work center.
- Communicate any issues or quality concerns related to the product to coworkers, Lead, or shift change coworkers.
- Interact with production equipment; start and stop equipment as trained and clear machine jams as trained.
- Assist in the documentation of quality and machine downtime.
- Form boxes and trays by hand as needed; operate box making machinery.
- Ensure defects are separated and placed into proper categories.
- Perform machine cleaning and sanitation as required.
- Perform housekeeping duties at the work center or as directed by the Lead and/or Manager.
- Follow VPET's Quality Management system, including procedures and work instructions.
- Wrap pallets with a stretch wrapper machine.
- Utilize a Bander gun.
- Scan finished goods.
- Have a full understanding of paperwork for finished goods.
- Properly train new hires.
- Fill in for Production Lead roles.
- Monitor day‑to‑day PPE utilization.
- Have a basic understanding of production reports (batch reading, batch closing, returning of material in inventory).
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Read, write, and communicate in English.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Work effectively in a team as well as individually.
- Attention to detail; ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Work scheduled shift to include overtime and weekends as required.
- Committed to the success of the organization.
- Sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Push, pull, twist, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crawl as necessary.
- Perform repetitive motions such as reaching and grasping.
- Work environment in a warehouse with temperatures that vary between hot or cold based on outside conditions.
- Fast‑paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
