SUMMARY

This position, as a TEAM member within the Operations Department, works closely to ensure that all material movement from warehouse to SCVRD assembly process area is completed accurately and within prescribed timeline requirements for both NAR and business partner South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department (SCVRD) associates. This NAR Associate ensures that the SCVRD is supplied with suitable volume of components to assemble, to minimize downtime, and to meet the build schedule for the day, as directed by the Manager of Assembly Operations.

This position also assists in the SCVRD assembly area set-up and in client kit build training, performs product audits as directed by the supervisor, and coordinates and processes all quality (FDA) checks while maintaining the necessary paperwork.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

This is not an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities. Projects/duties may be modified/changed/added/deleted as needed.

  • Understand NAR Products and their quality requirements (specifications, tolerances, lot control, etc.)
  • Understands NAR Product "direct packaging" requirements, such as those that must be vacuum packed and non-vacuum packed
  • Knows and executes the related, necessary assembly processing requirements that NAR Products must undergo (as well as vacuum packaging processing)
  • Implements training instructions and procedures for all those performing NAR product assembly tasks, as directed.
  • Assists in providing direction to fellow SCVRD associate(s) as assigned
  • Coordinates, as directed, with SCVRD Supervisory personnel related work schedule requirements and training requirements
  • Timely completes all data summary tasks, as directed
  • Provides assistance to the Manager of Assembly Operations in material handling duties, as requested.
  • Executes product pull sheets as per build schedules to minimize and prevent back orders to our "External Customers"
  • Cooperates with fellow Operations Department Team Members and all other NAR Associates to provide "Internal Customer" support, as required
  • Cooperates, takes direction, and supports the Manager of Assembly Operations and all other executive management personnel, supporting internal and external "Stockholders"
  • Processes quality checks for inbound product and maintains the appropriate paperwork and files
  • Performs necessary quality checks
SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Completes any tasks and/or projects assigned by supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned
AUTHORITY
  • Assists in training of clients to complete product assembly schedules
  • Provides recommendations to approve and not approve
ACCOUNTABILITY
  • Ensures that all SCVRD "local" assembly process areas are timely supplied with components to minimize downtime potential
  • Ensures that all necessary materials are appropriately accounted for during their transition through assembly operations and that related SCVRD process totals are reviewed and are shown to be equal to those attested to by NAR while reporting discrepancies to the Manager of Assembly Operations
QUALIFICATIONS Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
Experience
  • Two years working in a product production, assembly, and/or warehouse environment preferred

  • Manages multiple priorities in a direct work environment

  • Recognizes inventory discrepancies and reports to Supervisory personnel as needed
  • Learns all NAR Quality System requirements, related FDA compliance requirements, ISO-13485/ISO-9001, and ECE-R43 quality doctrines as they are applied locally
