CNC Machinist

Salary: $23.50–$25.00/hour

• $2.00/hour shift premium for 2nd shift
• $3.00/hour shift premium for 3rd shift

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mostly grinders)
• Perform program edits at the machine as needed
• Machine carbide steel components used in drill bits and cutting tools
• Hold very tight tolerances and ensure parts meet strict quality standards
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools
• Follow all ITAR, quality, and safety requirements
• Work collaboratively with team members across all shifts

Type: Contract to Hire

• A.S. in Machine Tool Technology will be a huge plus!
• Experience operating CNC machines (grinders, mills & lathes)
• Strong setup experience, including making program edits at the machine
• Experience working intight tolerances
• Experience working with carbide steel or similar hard materials
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
• Willingness to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
• Ability to work in an ITAR/Defense-regulated manufacturing environment
