What You’ll Do:

  • Utilize your technical expertise to support daily manufacturing processes and ensure they operate at peak performance.
  • Use your technical skills, innovation and knowledge to assist Operations Engineers with new manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate in a team environment to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and work to implement solutions for improved safety, quality, delivery and lower costs.
  • May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.
  • Act as a key problem solver, building rapport with Operations and Leadership teams.
  • May work with Tool Designers and Operations Engineers to communicate needs for new tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing aids from concept to completion.
  • Monitor production flow and update production orders to reflect standard rework requirements; ensure all modifications are documented accurately to maintain manufacturing integrity.
  • Attend daily stand-up meetings on the manufacturing shop floor and help maintain the daily production pulse for the Operations teams.
  • This job includes working in an office environment along with working in a manufacturing shop floor environment as needed.
  • Interact with all levels within the organization to inform team members of any potential risk(s) that may need support.

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong knowledge in one or more manufacturing processes (machining, CNC programming, welding, air & fuel flow testing and vacuum brazing). Depending on your manufacturing experience:
    • Strong knowledge of applicable machining processes including Computer Numeric Controls (CNC) programming;
      Strong interpretation of specifications and participation in hardware disposition;
      Strong knowledge of cutting tools and machine capability.
    • Solid understanding of common industrial welding processes (e.g., GTAW/TIG). Ability to interpret welding specifications and identify defects or inconsistencies against engineering drawings and code requirements (e.g., AWS or ASME standards).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with fixtures and tooling and the ability to work with Tool Designers.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems and implement corrective action solutions into a manufacturing process.
  • A commitment to safety, a collaborative team spirit, and a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to document, plan, and execute assignments.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong computer skills

What you'll bring:

  • Education/

    Experience:

    2-year technical degree or minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment. For welding experience - preferred CWI experience or willing to obtain CWI certification.
  • Technical Proficiency:Mechanical aptitude, proficiency in interpreting complex drawings, schematics, and GD&T.
  • Flexibility:Job is a 2nd shift (2pm to 10:30pm) with flexible work hours and 10% shift premium, job may require more than 40 hours per week to support business needs.
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).
