Job Description
Green Wood, Inc. is now actively recruiting applicants for our Pipefitter Journeyman position. We are looking for applicants who are interested in a Regular Full-Time, Non-Exempt position at the Mitsubishi site in Greer, SC. Employees normally work Monday through Thursday, 7:00am-5:30pm, 40 hours per week and occasional overtime as needed. We are currently looking for an applicant who is interested in a position without the need to travel.
Green Wood does not offer per diem at this job site.
The Pipefitter Journeyman is responsible for performing the daily operations of, and the preparation, assembling, and repairs of all pipe systems of various shapes, sizes, and pressures.
Position Responsibilities - Essential- Assembles, inspects, tests, and repairs pipe systems used to control plant operations
- Ensures proper placement and alignment according to blueprints, specifications, diagrams, schematics, or instructions
- Performs inspections of completed pipe system and components todeterminestructural and operational soundness and to detect abnormal fluctuations
- Performs tests tolocatedefective components in systems, using test equipment, schematics, and maintenance manuals
- Conducts tests on new components, assemblies, and systems based on test criteria asestablishedby the policies and procedures and/or written test plans
- Ability to use,maintain and possess required hand tools necessary to perform task assigned
- Participates in daily toolbox discussions/meetings
- Ensures all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities
- Based on the nature of the essential functions associated with this role, Green Wood hasdesignatedthis as a “safety-sensitive” position.

- Other duties and special projects as assigned
- Requires a minimumof 5years’experience in industrialpipe systems,testingprocessesand equipment
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and sense of urgency
- Ability to prioritize with an emphasis on quality of work
- Demonstratesability to perform repetitive tasks with focus on quantity and quality
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstratesa high levelof communication (both listening and speaking) and interpersonal skills
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the jobbut with minimal direct supervision
- Experiencedemonstratingsuccessful support of a positive safety culture
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s)
- Greater than five (5) years of experience in pipe systems, testing processes and equipment
