Location: UCHealth Anschutz Inpt Pavilion, Aurora, CO, US
Department: UCHlth Enterprise Float Pool
Work Schedule: PRN, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Nights
Pay: $35.29 – $54.71 per hour (dependent on relevant experience)
Minimum Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited or state‑board approved Registered/Professional Nursing program (if less than 3 years of experience)
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- At least 6 months of RN experience
- Certifications:
PALS, NIHSS, TNCC or ATCN within 6 months of hire - Registered Nurse Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- PALS Certification
- Trauma Nurse Core Course
- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale
- BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer card valid at start date; must remain current for the first 60 days of hire
Provides top‑of‑scope practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
Values a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Models proficiency through precepting those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth.

Emergency Department: Direct care includes Emergency Department level of care up to and including Level 1 trauma designation. BCEN certification standards are integrated into evidence‑based care models. Clinical Educators support individualized specialty education and training for competency validation throughout clinical orientation.
