Surgical RN

Novant Health seeks a Surgical RN to deliver exceptional perioperative care within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will assess, plan, and implement nursing care for surgical patients before, during, and after procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes. You will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and a multidisciplinary team, using advanced technology and evidence-based practices.

• Provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing care to surgical patients
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document in EHR
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy safely
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control standards
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and care teams
• Educate patients and families on procedures and post‑op care
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes promptly
• Support a culture of safety, diversity, and personalized care
