RN, Staff Nurse - Weight Loss Clinic

RN, Staff Nurse – Oak Brook - Weight Loss Clinic, Full-Time, 40 hours per week.

Hours:

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; no weekends.

Location:

Oak Brook, Illinois 60523. Travel to Itasca as needed.

• Under general supervision, provide high quality support to physicians in meeting the medical needs of the patient.
• Escort patients to and from exam rooms and readies them for physicians; take vital signs, record medical history/symptoms, and ensure medical chart/lab test results are available and complete.
• Perform telephone triage, patient education, handling of physician phone calls, pharmacy calls, and may assist by making appointments or arranging hospital tests or admissions.
• Administer immunizations and minor treatments as prescribed; record and document all such activities in the chart.
• Assist physician with procedures as necessary.
• Clean and stock all patient examination rooms; clean and prepare instruments for procedures; keep a list of needed medical supplies.
• Complete paperwork such as ordering lab tests, x‑rays, school/work notes, etc.
• Clean and sterilize equipment; check and restock medication cabinet as necessary.
• Respond to patient questions and concerns as a liaison between physician and patient.
• Report all test results to the patient as directed by the physician.
• Perform OSHA controls as required.
• Assist in performing narcotic count.
• Perform other projects and duties as related to department objectives.
• Work well with others, be a team player, accept constructive criticism from the supervisor, and follow work rules.
• Utilize current nursing practices to provide patient care while focusing on the needs of the patient and exemplifying service excellence, care, concern, respect and cooperation.
• Serve as a patient advocate by being the initial contact for patient‑related issues.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

• Current IL RN licensure.
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Preferred: minimum of one year of professional nursing experience in a clinical or hospital setting; new graduates may be considered under specific circumstances.

Base pay range: $27.00‑38.50 per hour (actual pay determined by skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity).

Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses and other incentives.

Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
