Position: QC Inspector I

Job Overview

In the Quality Inspector role, you will be responsible for inspection and quality services to ensure company products and processes meet customer, company, and other specifications. This role supports company initiatives, provides training and assists the Quality Control Manager.

Job Title: Quality Control Inspector

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Employment Type: Full‑Time

Essential Responsibilities
  • Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
  • Quality Management: assure that employees operate consistently within the policies and procedures of VPET USA INC.
  • Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action to supervisor.
  • Participate in the construction and/or revision of SOPs for the inspection function.
  • Provide support to production team when required.
  • Visually and physically inspect materials, components, subassemblies, assemblies, tools, and final product configuration using blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings, and orders, and other applicable sources to observe, measure, record conformity to customer, regulatory, and company specifications.
  • Record compliance with quality standards to verify that company products and processes meet customer, company, and other specifications.
  • Resolve inspection problems; develop methods, procedures, plans, and details.
  • Audit products and processes to verify system compliance.
  • Maintain necessary inspection logs and write inspection reports.
  • Communicate quality problems and work with engineering and leads to support, investigate and resolve quality issues.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, identify and address problems, and meet deadlines.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft programs; must be able to use computer programs to keep track of administrative tasks such as report writing, analysis of work orders, evaluations, etc.
  • English skills must be proficient to understand, read, write and speak English.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Must be committed to the success of the entire organization.
Minimum Requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, identify and address problems, and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to push, pull, twist, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crawl.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motions such as reaching and grasping.
  • Must be able to use a ladder or step ladder.
  • Work environment is in a warehouse and temperatures inside vary between hot or cold based on the outside conditions.
  • This is a fast‑paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
Education / Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role or a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Familiar with SQF 2000, HACCP, and GMP preferred.
  • Experience in the plastic bottle industry or in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
