Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Specialist ensures that all products, processes, and materials meet internal quality standards and customer requirements. This role supports daily production activities, performs inspections, maintains quality documentation, and drives continuous improvement to ensure compliance with internal procedures, customer specifications, and applicable regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities Quality Control & Inspection
  • Perform in-process, final, and incoming inspections using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM, etc.)
  • Verify product conformity to engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
  • Accurately document inspection results and maintain audit-ready records
Quality Systems & Compliance
  • Support ISO/IATF quality management system requirements
  • Maintain controlled documents, work instructions, and quality records
  • Participate in internal audits and support external audits as required
Nonconformance & Corrective Action
  • Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming materials or processes
  • Assist with root cause analysis (5 Why, Fishbone, etc.)
  • Support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities and verify effectiveness
Production & Process Support
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve quality issues
  • Monitor process capability and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide feedback to operators and supervisors to ensure consistent quality standards
Customer & Supplier Interface
  • Support customer quality requirements, documentation, and reporting
  • Assist with supplier quality issues, including incoming material concerns and follow-up
Data & Reporting
  • Maintain quality metrics, inspection logs, and trend reports
  • Prepare daily and weekly quality summaries for management review
  • Support PPAP, FAI, and other customer-required documentation
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred
  • 2+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of measurement tools and inspection techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP/QMS experience preferred
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform inspections for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs as needed
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with machinery and noise
  • Fast‑paced manufacturing setting requiring attention to detail, safety, and quality
