Utilizes metrology calibration systems and techniques to measure characteristics of objects based on applied principles of measurement science. Performs measurement surveys using photogrammetry, total stations, laser trackers, CMM's or other electronic 3D instruments. Uses 3D model based software and design drawings to plan and execute the measurement survey including the analysis of the collected data to the end user. Develops, coordinates, and conducts technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design.
Recommends design or test methods utilizing metrology methodologies for the achievement of product reliability. Compiles and analyzes measured data reports, includes analysis of relevant variables potentially affecting product and processes. May utilize Visual Basic to enhance the functionality of 3D measurement software.
- Perform measurement surveys using photogrammetry, total stations, laser trackers, CMM's or other electronic 3D instruments.
- Use 3D model based software and design drawings to plan and execute measurement surveys, including analysis of collected data.
- Develop, coordinate, and conduct technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design.
- Recommend design or test methods utilizing metrology methodologies for product reliability.

- May utilize Visual Basic to enhance 3D measurement software functionality.
- Associate's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, or a program graduation certificate from an approved institution; substitute options: 2 years related experience or 4 years non‑related experience for Associate's degree.
- Minimum 2 years of related experience.
