Position SummaryMSI Viking is seeking an experienced Electronic Metrology Technician to calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and certify electronic and electro‑mechanical measuring and test equipment (M&TE) in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and A2LA requirements.
This position plays a key role in ensuring our customers receive accurate, reliable measurement solutions while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. This role requires approximately 75% overnight travel to customer locations.
What You’ll Do- Perform calibration, adjustment, troubleshooting, and repair on a wide range of electronic and electro‑mechanical measuring and test equipment (M&TE).
- Follow company procedures, manufacturer specifications, and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements to ensure accurate and compliant calibrations.
- Complete calibration certificates and maintain detailed documentation for all work performed.
- Utilize multifunction calibrators, including the Fluke 5500A and 5700A series.
- Operate high‑precision instruments such as the Keysight 3458A and Fluke 8588A 8.5‑digit multimeters.
- Maintain accurate records using the company's gage tracking software.
- Assist with maintaining laboratory equipment and calibration standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Travel to customer sites to perform on‑site calibration and related services.
- Collaborate with team members to meet customer turnaround times while delivering exceptional service.
- 3–5 years of electronic metrology experience or successful completion of a Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) or equivalent metrology training program.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 quality requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows‑based applications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability and willingness to travel overnight approximately 75% of the time.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
