Quality Liaison – Automotive Manufacturing | 2nd Shift | $24–$28/hrPay Range: $24.00–$28.00 per hour
Shift: B Shift / 2nd Shift — 7:30 PM–6:10 AM, Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays planned in advance
Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week; hours may vary based on production requirements
Job Summary:MS Companies is seeking a proactive, hands-on Quality Liaison to support automotive quality operations within a major OEM manufacturing environment in the Spartanburg/Greer, South Carolina area.
In this highly visible position, you will serve as an on-site quality representative between an automotive supplier and its customer
, helping identify product concerns before they disrupt production, coordinating containment and rework activity, and providing timely, professional communication to both supplier and customer teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with automotive or manufacturing quality experience who enjoys being close to the production floor, solving problems in real time, and building strong relationships with manufacturing and quality teams.
The right candidate will be proactive, responsive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership when quality issues arise
. This role combines hands-on inspection and containment support with customer communication, documentation, and day-to-day problem solving.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in an automotive, manufacturing, production, or quality environment
- Working knowledge of basic quality inspection principles, defect identification, and containment processes
- Ability to recognize and document nonconforming product, including cosmetic defects such as scratches, dents, discoloration, and other out-of-standard conditions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly relay quality concerns to supplier and customer teams
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, email, photos, and basic reporting tools to document findings and communicate issues
- Ability to work independently and respond quickly when production or quality concerns arise
- Strong attention to detail when reviewing inspection results, containment findings, and product condition
- Ability and willingness to work the designated 2nd/B Shift and remain flexible when production demands require additional support
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Quality Liaison, Resident Quality Representative, Quality Technician, Quality Inspector, Quality Supervisor, Customer Quality Representative, or similar automotive quality professional
- Experience working within an OEM facility or supporting an automotive supplier/customer relationship
- Experience with containment, controlled shipping, sorting, inspection, rework, or clean-point activities
- Background supporting automotive interior products such as instrument panels, driver panels, glove boxes, specialty plastics, consoles, or related interior components
- Experience documenting quality concerns through photos, inspection data, and written reports
- Ability to help establish acceptable/non-acceptable product boundaries and communicate those standards to production or inspection personnel
- Experience assisting with root-cause investigation or corrective-action activities
- Previous experience training or coordinating personnel supporting containment, inspection, or rework activities
- Serve as the on-site quality representative and build strong working relationships with Customer Quality and Manufacturing teams
- Proactively inspect and audit incoming material to identify potential concerns before they impact production
- Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming product conditions quickly and accurately
- Provide the supplier with clear issue details, photographs, inspection findings, and other supporting information
- Support the establishment and communication of acceptable quality boundaries for product appearance and workmanship
