Job Summary
Business Engagement Manager – responsible for new logo attainment for Ryder’s FMS contractual sales products (Choice Lease / Select Care). Deploy a structured go‑to‑market strategy using Ryder’s CRM (Salesforce) and Salesforce‑based playbooks to drive consistent market engagement through digital, tele‑marketing, direct mail and strategic in‑person outreach.
Location:
Jackson, Mississippi metro area. The role is office‑based at Ryder’s Richland, MS location (New Hwy 49) with flexibility for field appointments. No overnight travel. Standard business hours, Monday through Friday.
Base pay: $58,000/year plus commission. First‑year earning potential: $75,000–$80,000 (base + commission). Mileage reimbursement for all business travel. Cell phone: company‑provided or monthly stipend. Laptop provided. Full benefits package, 401(k) with employer match, and a discount on Ryder Shares.
What You’ll Do- Prospecting & New Business Development – execute a multi‑channel go‑to‑market approach: tele‑prospecting, digital outreach, direct mail and in‑person meetings. Build a pre‑sales strategy for target accounts and create an activity pipeline sufficient to exceed quota.
- CRM & Pipeline Management – keep a structured, organized plan in Salesforce and Seismic, managing prospect tiers, reporting, collaboration leads, mailings, follow‑up tasks, opportunities and proposals.
- Administrative & Professional Development – own admin functions such as rate sheets, vehicle specifications, package processing and invest in sales skills, industry knowledge and personal growth.
- Additional Responsibilities – perform other duties as assigned.
- 2+ years of demonstrated, consecutive sales excellence with proven quota achievement.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interpret financial data and leverage it to match solutions to customer needs.
- Good working knowledge of Ryder’s product offerings (or a strong ability to learn them quickly).
- Highly organized, capable of multi‑tasking with excellent time management.
- Self‑directed with high initiative; comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships at all levels of an organization.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Administration or equivalent;
Preferred H.S. Diploma/GED;
Required 2+ years in prior sales responsibilities. - Good understanding of Ryder’s product offerings and ability to represent the full spectrum of Ryder services.
- Advanced ability to interpret financial data.
