Job Summary
The job of an Electrician is to provide electrical services including identifying repair or replacement needs; installing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading systems and equipment; assisting other skilled trades; and ensuring tools and materials are available at job site.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional classes, certificates, or degrees related to electrical work. Must possess necessary knowledge and skills for electrical work and a driver’s license to travel within the district.
Working ConditionsThis position requires assignments throughout Orangeburg County School District. Must multitask and adapt to changing priorities. Assignments may occur outdoors and indoors. The employee must frequently stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and communicate with others. Employee may need to lift heavy equipment up to 100 lbs.
