Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Maintenance Tech–On-Site | 2nd Shift |
Pay Rate:
Starts at $22.20/Hr. | Greer SC 29650
Mon–Thurs, 3pm–1am (10 Hrs. shift)
Resume must state minimum acceptable pay rate
Duties/Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment quickly, cost-effectively
- Maintain production machines, facility equipment, and perform preventive maintenance checks
- Inspect equipment, report findings, complete work orders, and update maintenance system
- Resolve electrical issues—knowledge of drives and PLCs required; recommend corrections as needed
- Ensure machine productivity and quality after repairs, changeovers, or downtime
- Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
- Respond rapidly to safety concerns or hazards
- Maintain building utilities, ventilation, appearance, housekeeping, and plumbing
- Communicate operational issues to group leaders/maintenance manager
- Perform related duties as assigned
- High school diploma/GED preferred, not required
- 1–3 years industrial maintenance experience in fast-paced manufacturing
- Experience in welding ( MIG and/or arc welding required )
- Forklift experience required (training provided)
- Working knowledge of electricity, gauges, and troubleshooting equipment
- Ability to interpret tools/instruments relating to product quality and equipment repair
- Effective communication; team player
- Strong safety awareness, attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Maintenance certifications preferred
- Knowledge and experience with PLCs and drives preferred
- Steel-toed boots required
