ES Eligibility Specialist

Responsibilities

• Determine eligibility for SNAP and TANF applications and reapplications by collecting, verifying, and processing client information within required time frames.
• Document all required information electronically and send CHIP notices to clients or request additional information as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic case files and safeguard confidentiality of all files and information.
• Identify and document over payments, prepare claim referrals to the Investigate Claims unit, and produce summaries and supporting documents for Fair Hearings; attend hearings as directed.
• Provide services in accordance with agency policy and procedure.
• Ensure proper handling of personal identifying information (PII), and safeguard agency systems, equipment, and data.
• Participate in training, supervisory meetings, or staffings as required; perform Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter services; perform other related duties as directed.

High School Diploma and relevant program experience. A Bachelor’s Degree may be submitted to satisfy the required program experience.
