Position Overview

This is a support staff position who aids in the Admissions Department on a daily basis but also to other areas of support student services as needed including financial aid and the business office. Reviews and processes transcript requests. Evaluates transcripts received to ensure completeness and responds to requests in accordance with applicable regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Responds to inquiries in person or on the phone; provides direction to students and their families regarding admissions and/or records and registration process and eligibility; analyzes and interprets information on computer screens and imparts appropriate information.
  • Greets and assists parents and students with accessing, navigating, and trouble-shooting the on-line student portal and Admissions application as required by each department or the administration.
  • Receives and records documents from colleges, high schools, governmental agencies and other entities as required.
  • Updates data as required in the appropriate office or as required by the administration.
  • Disseminates and accepts documents and relative paperwork and sends to Goodman for processing as required.
  • Completes relevant departmental reports to ensure student records are current.
  • Provides requested information, in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Institutional policies, and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
  • Maintains records at the same level as the District Office in compliance with state audit guidelines.
  • Assists in other student support areas as needed.
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Associate degree preferred or High school diploma or GED; at least 2‑3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

    • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
    • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
    • Knowledge of database management.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
    • Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
    • Working knowledge of the FERPA guidelines.
    • Strong customer service skills.
