Production Supervisor (2nd Shift)
Location: Grenada, MS
Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
Job Type: Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to lead our second-shift manufacturing team in Grenada, Mississippi. This position is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved while fostering a positive and engaged work environment.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with strong communication skills, manufacturing experience, and a passion for developing employees and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production employees during the second shift.
- Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.
- Promote and enforce all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Monitor production performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and cost.
- Train, coach, and develop team members to achieve performance goals.
- Conduct shift meetings and communicate production priorities, safety updates, and operational changes.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, and other departments to resolve production issues.
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate repairs with the maintenance team when needed.
- Maintain accurate production records, labor reporting, and shift documentation.
- Address employee concerns and support a positive, team‑oriented work environment.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, and waste reduction.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and customer requirements.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team‑building skills.
- Experience managing production schedules and meeting performance metrics.
- Ability to motivate employees while maintaining accountability.
- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or Six Sigma principles is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Experience supervising production teams in plastics, injection molding, or manufacturing.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and manufacturing best practices.
- Experience with ERP or manufacturing software systems.
- Strong problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
