GC Millwright 1st Shift

Position will be responsible for dismantling machinery, transferring equipment, interpreting blueprints, and installing equipment. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of hydraulics, belt systems, motors, and other industrial machine mechanisms essential for job procedures. Must be a team player with strong attention to detail. In this position, you should also be able to make decisions, troubleshoot, and perform repairs with little to no supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoots maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing and equipment repair or replacement.
• Help maintain equipment parts lists and perform daily PMs on equipment.
• Assist in set-up of equipment as needed.
• Adheres to company safety, environmental and property protection policies and complies with appropriate codes on work performed.

Occasional heavy lifting, pulling, pushing, stooping, climbing, reaching, bending and working in awkward positions are required. May be exposed to accumulations of dirt and grease, smoke, heat and fumes. Must be flexible, problem solving oriented, acceptable to change and display initiative to learn and make improvements in the workplace.

Required Education &

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience as a millwright or similar job.
• In-depth knowledge of equipment and machinery.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent mathematical skills.
• Must be able to work well in a team environment.
• Must have high school education or equivalent.
