Accounts Payable Specialist (Part-Time) – Gresham, OR

Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional looking for meaningful work with flexibility? Our client, a well-established nonprofit organization serving the Portland metro area, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their collaborative finance team. What You'll Do

• Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently in a high-volume environment
• Match invoices to supporting documentation and ensure proper approvals are obtained
• Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments
• Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships
• Assist with month-end AP reconciliations and reporting
• Maintain organized electronic and paper records in accordance with organizational policies
• Support audits and provide requested AP documentation
• Collaborate with accounting and administrative staff on process improvements and special projects

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of accounts payable experience
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Experience working with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Experience in a nonprofit environment is a plus, but not required
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented approach
