Automotive Technician, Automotive Mechanic
We are a premier facility and have been serving the Clark County area since 1986. Our facility is over 20‑time award winning and receives high ratings on Yelp, Google and other review sites. We own state‑of‑the‑art equipment and facility across five locations. The Automotive Technician position is responsible for diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles while following dealership, manufacturer, and Gaynors Automotive standards.
COMPENSATION: $35‑$45/hr – varies depending on experience. Sign‑on bonus ranges from $2,500‑$5,000 based on ASE certifications and mechanic experience.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
- Performs work as outlined on the Multi‑point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
- Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non‑mechanical individuals, which may include the Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customers.
- Recommends services that are necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle running in good condition; properly documents all recommendations in the customer file.
- Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
- Maintains appropriate ASE certifications and renewals of expiring certifications.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work a minimum of five days per week.

Our Automotive Detail Technicians play a vital role in maintaining the appearance and condition of our vehicles. Detailed compensation and benefits include:
Starting Pay: $18 per hour.
Paid Time Off (PTO): 4 hours per pay period, totaling approx. 96 hours in the first year, with increases over time.

Responsibilities include washing vehicle exterior, cleaning interior, applying wax, vacuuming interior, cleaning upholstery, applying preservation agents, restoring engine area, and using touch‑up paint and dyes.
Qualifications include excellent communication skills; ability to multitask and prioritize; detail‑oriented; physical ability to lift 50 pounds; clean driving record; insurable under company insurance.
