Job Summary And Responsibilities/Duties
Job Summary Provides quality instruction that will contribute to the learning experiences necessary for each student to meet the objectives of the course and to be successful in both their education and career development experiences. Essential Duties
Education:
Master's degree with 24 graduate hours in health, health and fitness, exercise physiology or physical education (Significant work experience and professional certifications in the profession may substitute for the master's degree) Experience/Training
- Minimum (1) year of full-time or part-time teaching and/or coaching experience.
- Current American Red Cross Instructor certification OR American Heart Association certification in First Aid, AED, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire
Working Conditions Work is typically performed in an office and classroom settings including, but not limited to, academic settings, fitness centers, weight rooms, dance studios, and athletic facilities. Some positions have physical requirements specific to assigned duties. Salary Salary placement will be based on applicable education and/or years of relevant equivalent experience at the sole discretion of the College, per the guidelines in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
