Youth Development Specialist, Alpha

• Facilitating one‑hour life‑skills sessions for K‑8 cohorts covering public speaking, concentration, feedback delivery and reception, and other foundational competencies. You will modify the existing framework and create new sessions when needed.
• Conducting daily individual and small‑group motivational sessions that drive each student toward their weekly application targets, leveraging Coachbot analytics, Alpha’s incentive structures (school currency, leaderboards), and personal connection with each student.
• Administering Test2
  
  Pass (Alpha’s mastery‑based evaluation) for each life skill and providing continued coaching to students who do not initially pass until mastery is achieved.
• Adjusting your coaching approach across a broad age spectrum—from kindergarteners requiring high energy and physical activity to 8th graders needing direct conversation and responsibility.
• Analyzing weekly cohort performance metrics in Coachbot, pinpointing students falling behind, and modifying your coaching strategy for the upcoming week based on data insights.

• Delivering whiteboard instruction; academic content resides in the applications, not with you.
• Creating an entire curriculum from scratch; you begin with an established playbook and customize it with your unique energy and narrative skills.
• Passively monitoring students at workstations; motivation in this environment is engaged, individualized, and persistent.
• Working through bureaucratic processes to secure resources for struggling learners; if a student requires additional coaching time, you decide and implement immediately.
• Evaluating homework, conducting standardized test preparation, or handling parent correspondence;
  Campus Leads manage family‑facing responsibilities, and these tasks do not exist in this model.

Guarantee that every student in your K‑8 cohort achieves their weekly learning targets, attains mastery in each life skill, and concludes the year expressing that they valued their experience with you.

• Available to work on‑site at an Alpha campus in one of the specified locations (relocation assistance available).
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of direct experience with K‑8 students (classroom instruction, coaching, tutoring, camp counseling, or youth program management).
• A concrete example you can articulate of motivating a K‑8 student toward a challenging goal: the objective, your actions, and the result.
• Comfort with AI managing the instructional delivery while you concentrate on motivation and life‑skills development.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

• Background in youth sports coaching, debate, camp leadership, theater, or after‑school programs where you held direct responsibility for motivating children toward defined objectives.
• Demonstrated personal record of high achievement (academic, athletic, or professional), indicating that maintaining rigorous standards for others is an established trait, not an adopted stance.
• Communication and presentation skills sufficient to engage a room of 12‑year‑olds for an hour without needing to elevate your voice.
• History of converting disengaged or resistant students into enthusiastic contributors.

This is a full‑time (40 hours per week) long‑term position. The role requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. Compensation is $60 USD per hour, which equals $120,000 USD per year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. Payment is weekly.
