Wind Technician-Level 1 – Associate

Job Description

• Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of renewable energy systems, including wind turbine power generation, solar energy, and energy storage systems.
• Conducts preventative maintenance, repairs, and system monitoring.
• Uses SCADA systems, diagnostic tools, and technical procedures to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.
• Adheres to safety and environmental regulations while working in varying conditions, including elevated heights and inclement weather.
• Position follows a 12-hour rotating shift that requires candidate to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• Associates or bachelor's degree in Power Generation/Renewables preferred.

• Perform entry-level preventive maintenance on wind turbine and solar energy systems.
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues. Learn SCADA systems for remote diagnostics and performance monitoring.
• Follow safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Work in varying weather conditions and climb turbine towers as needed.
