Job Description
Senior Technician I‑Equipment (Implant) at our Fab 4 facility in Gresham, Oregon. This position supports Fab 4 maintenance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Must practice excellent troubleshooting methods and work effectively in a team environment. Shift: Sun, Mon, Tue, every other Sat 6:15 PM to 6:30 AM (front night compressed work week).
Essential Functions- Maintain and repair Implant semiconductor systems.
- Effectively troubleshoot electronic, electrical and mechanical problems.
- Work with systems that contain radiation, electrical, mechanical, liquid, and gas hazards.
- Perform preventative maintenance according to schedule and specifications.
- Read and interpret mechanical prints and electrical/electronic schematics.
- Use schematics, tools, and common test equipment for calibration, diagnosis, and repair of equipment.
- Disassemble, adjust and repair equipment according to maintenance specifications and OEM manuals.
- Effective documentation of work in maintenance logs.
- Communicate detailed information clearly and effectively.
- AA degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology or related discipline, or equivalent semiconductor industry experience.
- 7+ years of experience in Ion Implant equipment maintenance.
- Familiarity with Varian VIISion 80, E220/500, VIISta HC, VIISta 810 and Axcelis GSD
200/GSD‑HE. - Electronic and mechanical aptitude with a natural affinity for tinkering.
- Strong desire for personal continuous improvement and learning.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic IT and software skills (MS Office).
- Solid organizational, documentation and writing skills.
- Ability to be an efficient and reliable team member with minimal supervision.
- Participation as an active member of the Fab 4 ERT (Emergency Response Team).
- Ability to meet the ERT physical requirements.
- Must pass a physical, fit test and medical clearance for usage of a tight‑fitting respirator (SCBA full‑face mask level).
- Must maintain physical requirements for wearing SCBA full‑face mask level.
- Ability to travel infrequently for training purposes.

- Able to lift, push, pull approx. 50 lbs; carry 50 lbs; sit 5%; stand 60%; walk 35%; perform activities that include climbing, bending at waist, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, crawling, handling, feeling, hearing, talking, seeing. Work environment may include slippery surfaces, noise or vibrations, mechanical hazards, electrical hazards, fumes or odors, dust or gases.
