Pharmacist - Gresham

Position: Pharmacist - Gresham, OR
An opportunity is available for a skilled pharmacist to support pharmacy operations within a healthcare setting in the Portland, OR area. This contract position begins as soon as possible and offers a commitment of approximately 13 weeks with variable afternoon shifts. The role focuses on delivering quality pharmaceutical care and effective medication management.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications in accordance with prescriptions and established protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Utilize pharmacy automation systems including Cerner and Pyxis to manage medication distribution
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Provide patient counseling and education as needed

Qualifications:

• Valid Oregon Pharmacist License is required
• Proven experience in retail or hospital pharmacy settings
• Proficiency with Cerner and Pyxis systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work variable afternoon shifts
